Welcome to Mingle & Margaritas!

I arrived at this event knowing no one and left with sound advice, new critique partners, and that warm-and-fuzzy feeling you get from encouraging friends.
— Becky Goodman, Atlanta writer

What is Mingle & Margaritas? It is a casual get together of kidlit writers and authors in Georgia, organized by local authors. You do not have to be a published author to participate. Our mission is to build community, share knowledge, support each other during hard times and celebrate our success! We usually meet at a local bookstore and invite a guest speaker to discuss a topic related to the publishing industry.

This is a community event so we ask attendees to contribute towards food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

If you wish to be invited via email to future events, please fill out the contact form below.

What past attendees are saying:

I love the writing community we’re building in Atlanta, especially getting to meet new people at events like this one.” – Rachael Allen, author of The Taxonomy of Love (Abrams, 2018), The Revenge Playbook (Harper Teen, 2015) and 17 First Kisses (Harper Teen, 2014)

“Nothing brings me greater joy than good cheese, great wine and talented writers. Thanks you so much for being such excellent organizers and hosts. I really enjoyed myself. I’m really looking forward to the next Mingle and Margaritas!” – Rebecca Cha, food and travel writer featured in Food and Wine, The Wine Enthusiast, The Wine Spectator and others.

“This was a fantastic experience—I loved chatting with my writing pals, old and new.” – Jessica Vitalis
